Community invited to meet local political candidates
ADRIAN, Mich. - Adrian College and the Lenawee County Association of REALTORS® are hosting “Meet the Candidate Day” on Friday, September 24 at 10 A.M. in the Adrian/Tobias Room. The community is invited to hear local candidates speak about the upcoming election in November.
Participants of the event include Michigan House of Representative candidates for the 57th District, Nancy Jenkins (R) and Harvey Schmidt (D); .Michigan State Senate candidates for the 16th District, Bruce Caswell (R) and Douglas Spade (D); and judicial candidates for the Lenawee County District Court, John Glaser and Laura Schaedler.
The event will begin at 10:00 A.M. and conclude at noon. Doors open at 9:30 A.M. and light refreshments will be served.
Each candidate will be given 10 minutes for opening and closing remarks, along with three questions previously selected by the Meet the Candidate Day committee. Community members are encouraged to submit questions that could be chosen to be asked by the moderator, WLEN. All questions can be submitted via e-mail to public-relations@adrian.edu
The Adrian/Tobias Room is located in Ritchie Marketplace on the Adrian College campus. Reserved parking will be available for attendees in the Dawson parking lot off of Charles St. This event is free and open to the public.
