Adrian College Participates in Art-a-Licious posted 9/15/09
Visit downtown Adrian's this weekend.

ADRIAN, Mich. - The Adrian College Art Department will have a tent at downtown Adrian’s Art-a-Licious Festival this weekend. The art fair will take place Friday, Sept. 18, 3-8pm and Saturday, Sept. 19, 10am-8pm.

The College’s tent will have alums, students and faculty involved. Current students will be running the Pixel Party Booth led by senior Jillian Brown; the throwing tent on Saturday will be led by junior Chris Reed. Both will be working with the public and teaching them or taking pictures of them.

Faculty members Elijah Van Benschoten, Bryan VanBenschoten, Debra Irvine-Stiver and Craig Weatherby will all be showing as will TA's John Ahearn and Meghan Walton, who will be doing demonstrations both days. Alumni Linette Griteman, Lauren Pfund, Mike Barker will also be demonstrating and Sarah Kandell, Emily Pierce will be showing.

The Youth Art tent begins at noon on Saturday. Local art teachers and Adrian College art education students will prepare projects for children attending the fair and assist with those.
