Theatre Department Presents
Annual Student-written One-act Plays
posted 9/17/08
ADRIAN, Mich. - The Theta
Alpha Phi dramatic honorary society at Adrian
College announces its annual presentation of
student-written, one-act plays Sept. 25 -27,
2008 in Downs Hall Theatre.
The two plays being performed
this year are “Alone” and “Life
Changes.”
“Alone” written
by freshman Angelica Lopez (Lansing, Mich.)
is a play about a girl named Ana who finds herself
in a police station being questioned for a murder
that she has no recollection of. She begins
to question herself and her perception of reality
while she relives a story to die for.
In “Life Changes”
written by senior Karen M. Thompson (St. Claire
Shores, Mich.) eight college students face challenges
of commitment, changes, and the realization
that what they planned may not be what life
has planned for them. Through both inner monologue
and conversation, they all connect and intertwine
in some way, bringing some together and some
apart. They each struggle to come to terms with
what's facing them and to figure out which way
to go next.
Downs Hall Theatre is located
in Downs Hall on Madison St. on the Adrian College
campus. Curtain time is 8:00 P.M. each evening.
General Admission is $5 and Adrian College students
with a valid student I.D. are admitted free
of charge. More information may be obtained
