Guest Preacher at Wednesday
Chapel posted 9/16/08
Rev. Diane Bogues-Hill
to focus on vocation at Adrian College
ADRIAN, Mich. - The Adrian
College Wednesday chapel service will have a
special voice on September 24, 2008. The Rev.
Diane Bogues-Hill of Garrett-Evangelical Theological
Seminary will be preaching.
Bogues-Hill is the associate
director of New Student Recruitment and Church
Vocations for Garrett-Evangelical, a graduate
seminary located next to Northwestern University
in Evanston, Ill. Bogues-Hill does much more
than institutional recruitment; she is a pastor/theologian
who cares about God’s voice in the lives
of people and she cares about the classic understanding
of call or vocation.
Bogues-Hill is an ordained
elder in the African Methodist Episcopal Church
and associate minister at Greater Institutional
AME Church in Chicago. She also graduated from
Garrett-Evangelical in 2003 and is recognized
as an inspiring preacher, personable presenter,
creative thinker, and dynamic leader. Her self-described
passions are aesthetics and the “imago
dei.”
The reverend will preach during
the Wednesday noon chapel on September 24. This
special service is scheduled to take place outside,
on the mall, near the College Chapel. In the
event of rain, the service will be moved inside
to the chapel. The visit and worship leadership
of Rev. Bogues-Hill is sponsored by the Adrian
College Major Cole Pre-seminary Association
and the Adrian College Religious Life Council.
All Adrian College chapel services are open
to the public and campus community. More information
