Public invited to Community
Open House next Thursday
ADRIAN, Mich. – You’ve
probably heard about all the changes at Adrian
College. You’re invited to come see them
for yourself during the Community Open House
on Thursday, Sept. 20, from 4:30 – 6:30
p.m.
The community is welcome to
walk the campus grounds, see the improvements,
and tour the buildings. The highlight of the
tour will be the brand new ice arena. Also see
the stadium, the new hair salon in Caine Student
Center, the Admissions House, the renovated
Stanton Administration Building and Pellowe
Hall, and improvements inside the Merillat Sport
& Fitness Center and Ritchie Dining Hall.
Pick nearly any building and you’ll find
significant and interesting changes.
The Adrian College touring
bus will provide transportation to our “Back
40” to see the construction in progress
on the new tennis complex, track and field complex,
all-turf baseball complex, and softball complex.
This will provide an up-close look of the projects
drivers can see from US-223.
The starting point for your
visit will be the welcome tent on Charles Street
next to the Adrian College Chapel. Pick up a
campus map with information for self-guided
walking tours. For those with limited walking
abilities, golf cart tours are available.
Adrian College President Jeffrey
R. Docking will talk with guests about the changes
at 6 p.m. in the Adrian-Tobias Room. Sit down
with some refreshments to hear President Docking
explain other plans and initiatives in process,
and ask any questions you may have.
Parking is available
near the welcome tent in the Dawson Auditorium
lot. The Adrian-Tobias Room is adjacent to Ritchie
Dining Hall.
