Music Department Presents Faculty Recital posted 8/11/08

ADRIAN, Mich. - The Adrian College Music Department will present a series of faculty recitals beginning August 28, 2008. Join saxophonist and Adrian College faculty member Shannon Ford for an evening of contemporary music by French and American composers on Thursday, August 28 at 8:00 P.M. in Dawson Auditorium.

Collaborating with Ford are Pamela Ashmore, pianist and faculty member of Ohio Northern University and Merwin Siu, violinist and member of the Toledo Symphony. The highlight of the evening will be COME DOWN HEAVY!, a trio for violin, saxophone, and piano by regional composer Evan Chambers. The piece is an exciting and beautiful setting of folksongs from American and Irish heritages.

Dawson Auditorium is located off of Charles Street on the Adrian College campus. This event is free and open to the public.
