The College celebrates
Hispanic Heritage Month
ADRIAN, Mich. - Adrian College
presents the exhibit Latinas en Lenawee
in the Heritage Room of Shipman Library as part
of the College’s celebration of Hispanic
Heritage Month. The exhibit runs from September
15th through October 10th 2008.
Latinas en Lenawee
is a photo and text exhibit highlighting the
accomplishments of the many Hispanic women who
live and work in Lenawee County. These include
women from the U.S., Mexico, Guatemala, and
other Hispanic countries. These women work in
classrooms, kitchens, offices and shops; they
are social workers, artists, mothers and neighbors.
The women were selected to represent the diversity
among Latinas in the county in terms of careers,
age, education, country of origin, and other
characteristics.
The display is organized by
Idalí
Feliciano, Director of Multicultural Student
Services at Adrian College and Don
Cellini, a faculty member in the Department
of Modern Languages and Cultures.
The exhibit is free and open
to the public during regular Library hours:

Friday 8:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M., Saturday
