Stephen Lewis to kick-off fall 2008 James Borland Convocation Series

ADRIAN, Mich. – Adrian College is pleased to announce Stephen Lewis as the first James Borland Convocation speaker for the 2008-09 school year. Lewis will be speaking to the campus community on Wednesday, August 27 at 12:00 P.M. in the Adrian College chapel.

Lewis is one of the world's most influential speakers on human rights, social justice and international development. The former UN Special Envoy for HIV/AIDS in Africa, he has been named by TIME as one of the 100 Most Influential People in the World appearing in the same category as The Dalai Lama and Nelson Mandela.

Following the presentation, a luncheon for the entire campus community will be held in the Adrian Tobias Room, located in Ritchie Marketplace, at 1:30 P.M.
