Frank Hribar joins senior staff
ADRIAN, Mich. – Adrian College is pleased to announce the appointment of Frank Hribar to the position of Vice President of Enrollment. Hribar will report directly to the president effective July 1, 2010.
Hribar comes to Adrian College from Kettering University (Flint, Mich.) where he served as the vice president for corporate relations & enrollment services. There, he provided oversight for the offices of admissions, cooperative education, corporate relations and career services, the office of financial aid, the marketing office, and the university welcome center.
In his position at Adrian, he will focus initially on student recruitment and admissions.
“I look forward to working with Dr. Docking, and as a member of his senior staff, to continue to build on the successes of Renaissance I and to shepherd the Renaissance II vision into reality,” says Hribar.
He said he looks forward in expanding on the admissions model and developing new ways to recruit students.
“My initial goal is to become deeply familiar and knowledgeable of the admissions yield program which has been the blue-print for the recent enrollment success,” said Hribar. “Additionally, I want to create a complete international recruitment structure and operationalize the recruitment and enrollment-related strategies to support our burgeoning academic portfolio, including eventually graduate student recruitment.”
President Jeffrey R. Docking says Hribar has a vast knowledge of higher education enrollment and his experiences will become an asset to Adrian College.
“Frank Hribar brings nearly twenty years of experience in higher education to his new position at Adrian College,” said Docking. “He has achieved great success in several areas including enrollment management, government relations, corporate relations, and many other important offices. He is a proven leader with an impressive resume of accomplishments. We are delighted that he has chosen to continue his career at Adrian College during these exciting years or progress and change.”
Originally from Allen Park, Mich., Hribar attended St. Frances Cabrini schools prior to his collegiate studies. He attended Siena Heights University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration in 1990 and a Master of Arts degree in Human Resource Development in 1997. He also distinguished himself on the baseball field, playing third base for the Saints. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in higher education and organizational development from Benedictine University in Illinois.
Hribar began his career in higher education at SHU as the associate dean of admissions and enrollment services from 1993-97. In 1997, he left SHU for Madonna University located in Livonia, Mich., to become Madonna’s Director for Enrollment Management. During that time, Hribar rose to become Madonna’s Vice President for Planning and Enrollment Management.
His credentials indicate a wide variety of administrative responsibilities with sound performance. His accomplishments at Madonna include leading the planning effort and implementation of a comprehensive enrollment program, along with coordinating retention activities that resulted in sustaining solid record of enrollment growth, including in the University’s record-high enrollment in 2005. He also helped develop the university’s continuing education and professional studies program, and set goals and strategies for Madonna’s long-range planning and visioning document and campus master facilities plan.
In his previous position at Siena Heights University, he worked collaboratively with other senior staff in promoting and achieving the overall recruitment, retention, marketing and enrollment goals and objectives of the university.
President Docking commented that Adrian College is lucky and excited to have Hribar on board.
“We feel very fortunate to have Frank Hribar as a new member of our senior administrative team at Adrian College,” says Docking. “He is a highly skilled professional, a knowledgeable person to continue the great momentum we currently enjoy in our admissions office, and a great fit for our campus.”
Hribar expressed his excitement in beginning work at the College.
“These are indeed exciting times to be at Adrian College and my family and I are excited to begin to contribute to an even more exciting, vital and vibrant future,” he said. “I am particularly excited to work with the admissions and recruitment staff to continue the successes of the admissions yield program and to develop some additional innovative and creative recruitment strategies.”
Hribar, currently lives in Adrian with his wife, Tracy, and their two children, Emily and Andrew. In his free time, Hribar enjoys golf, reading, coaching, and traveling with his family. |
