Adrian College Hosts Free Jazz Concerts posted 6/16/08

ADRIAN, Mich. - Adrian College will host its third annual Jazz Improvisation Camp Monday, June 23 through Thursday, June 26. Each day will end with a jazz concert.

All concerts are free to the public, but donations will be accepted toward the cost of hosting the camp and concerts.

On Monday, June 23 at 6 P.M, camp faculty will re-enact a New Orleans jazz funeral procession from the Dawson Auditorium parking lot to the Thomas Pavilion by the stadium. The Tuesday concert (6 P.M. in Spencer Hall) will feature jazz pianist Pete Ford with help from the camp faculty. The Wednesday concert (6 P.M. in Dawson Auditorium) will combine the talents of the faculty with the Tecumseh Civic Auditorium Big Band. On Thursday, the Jazz Camp Celebration Concert will feature faculty and campers at 3:30 pm in Dawson Auditorium.
