Concert Bands Perform Spring Concert posted 4/9/10

ADRIAN, Mich. - The public is invited to the annual spring concert of the Adrian College Concert Bands on Sunday, April 18, at 3 P.M. in Dawson Auditorium on the Adrian College campus. 

Both bands will play a wide variety of selections, including “Valdres”(a Norwegian March), the Rimsky-Korsakov “Trombone Concerto”(featuring student performer Trevor Alger), “On Silver Wings”(composed for the Air Force Band by Kenneth Fuchs), “In the Forest of the King”(based on renaissance themes),Gustav Holst's “Second Suite in F for Military Band”, “The Footlifter”(one of Henry Fillmore's best known marches), and a medley of songs composed by George and Ira Gershwin.
