ADRIAN, Mich. – The Adrian College student organization, African American Leaders Promoting Higher Achievement, or ALPHA, will be presenting its 19th Annual Gift of Life Ball on Saturday, April 17, 2010. All proceeds go towards helping a small Tanzanian village, by the name of Chamwino Village.
The event will take place in the Adrian Tobias Room starting at 6 P.M. This event is open to the public as well as the College campus community. Tickets are $20 for Adrian College faculty and staff and community members. Adrian College students get in free with their student ID. Donations will also be accepted at the door.
The event will consist of dinner, music and dancing. It serves as a chance for the community to come together to support a great cause while dressing up and having an inexpensive and fun night out.
The Adrian Tobias Room is located on the College campus in the Ritchie Marketplace complex.
A.L.P.H.A. desires to promote unity among black students and the general awareness of the needs of African Americans and other minority students.
