Final dates announced

ADRIAN, Mich. – Adrian College is pleased to announce that the Faculty Brown Bag Scholarship Series was very successful for the 2008-09 academic year. The series will end with two presentations this month: Wednesday, April 15 and Monday, April 20.

Mr. Garin Horner, assistant professor of art & design at the College, will give the first presentation on “How to Improve your Digital Photography.” This discussion will take place on April 15 at 4 P.M. in the Stubnitz Conference Room.

On Monday, April 20, Rev. Chris Momany, Adrian College Chaplain, will talk about “The Conception of the Moral Law in the Anti-slavery Movement.” This presentation will take place at noon in Knight Auditorium.

The 2008-2009 Faculty Brown Bag Scholarship Series focused on scholarly work that discusses and extends the mission of Adrian College with a particular emphasis on social justice issues. All presenters are Adrian College faculty and staff members. This year’s series is focused on the College’s 150th anniversary which takes place in 2009. Each presenter incorporated the College’s mission statement in some way into their presentations.

Stubnitz Conference Room is located in the Shipman Library and Knight Auditorium is located in Valade Hall; both locations are on the College campus off of Williams St. All sessions are free and open to the public. Everyone is encouraged to bring a brown bag lunch if they so choose. More information may be obtained by visiting http://www.adrian.edu/faculty_staff/accet/brown_bag.php.
