Faculty Brown Bag Scholarship

Final dates announced
ADRIAN,
Mich. – Adrian College is pleased to announce
that the Faculty Brown Bag Scholarship Series
was very successful for the 2008-09 academic
year. The series will end with two presentations
this month: Wednesday, April 15 and Monday,
April 20.
Mr.
Garin Horner, assistant professor of art &
design at the College, will give the first presentation
on “How to Improve your Digital Photography.”
This discussion will take place on April 15
at 4 P.M. in the Stubnitz Conference Room.
On
Monday, April 20, Rev. Chris Momany, Adrian
College Chaplain, will talk about “The
Conception of the Moral Law in the Anti-slavery
Movement.” This presentation will take
place at noon in Knight Auditorium.
The
2008-2009 Faculty Brown Bag Scholarship Series
focused on scholarly work that discusses and
extends the mission of Adrian College with a
particular emphasis on social justice issues.
All presenters are Adrian College faculty and
staff members. This year’s series is focused
on the College’s 150th anniversary which
takes place in 2009. Each presenter incorporated
the College’s mission statement in some
way into their presentations.
Stubnitz
Conference Room is located in the Shipman Library
and Knight Auditorium is located in Valade Hall;
both locations are on the College campus off
of Williams St. All sessions are free and open
to the public. Everyone is encouraged to bring
a brown bag lunch if they so choose. More information
