Baccalaureate
Service to Celebrate Sesquicentennial
posted 4/13/09
Service to take place
on Sunday, May 3
Please join us at the 2009
Adrian College Baccalaureate Service. The service
will be held on Sunday, May 3 at 10:30 A.M.
in the College Chapel. This year’s service
will celebrate the 150th anniversary of the
College. The Scripture will address our heritage
and our calling to make a better future. The
Adrian College motto: “Let the light shine,”
will drive our time of worship.
Professor Beth Myers will
be the faculty speaker, and the student reflections
will hold themselves accountable to history.
Our four graduate speakers will ground their
expression in the lives of four "heroes"
from Adrian College’s past.
Adam Stone will address the
life and legacy of Dr. Asa Mahan; David Johnson
will address the life and legacy of Dr. William
Henry Fitzbutler; Ashley Laabs will address
the life and legacy of Dr. Lee Anna Starr; and
Kelley Hutchins will address the life and legacy
of Dr. Elizabeth Crosby.
The Chaplain’s Office,
senior class officers, the Adrian College Chamber
Choir and professional leadership from the music
department, will round out the service. |
