Youth Art Classes Offered

Adrian College and LCVA
partner up for summer youth art program
ADRIAN, Mich. - Adrian College,
in conjunction with the LCVA (Lenawee Council
for Visual Arts), will host a youth art program
this summer titled “2008 Summer Art Olympics”.
Students will study athletics and the art and
culture of China, the host to this summer’s
Olympics.
Classes are scheduled for
the week of July 14-18. Sessions for grades
1-4 will run 9 A.M. until noon each morning.
Grades 5-8 will run 1-4 P.M. each afternoon.
Classes will take place in
a big tent adjacent to The Mahan Center for
the Arts on the Adrian College campus. Mahan
is located between Shipman Library and the Caine
Student Center on Williams Street. The instructors
will be Annie Morton Howard and Jackie Whiteley,
certified art teachers.
The cost of the program is
$65.00 and includes all supplies. Scholarships
are available for students who qualify for the
free lunch program due to the generosity of
Wacker Chemical Corporation.
