Community is invited to this month’s Institute for Ethics Brown Bag
ADRIAN, Mich. - This month’s Institute for Ethics Brown Bag features College Chaplain Rev. Dr. Chris Momany on Thursday, March 18, at noon in Knight Auditorium.
Rev. Momany will speak about Dr. Asa Mahan’s “perfectionism,” which featured a method of social reform. Mahan is the founding father of Adrian College. On March 28, 1859, the College was chartered by the Michigan legislature as a degree-granting institution with Mahan as its first president. Through a series of consolidations and denomination unifications, the College has maintained its relationship with The United Methodist Church.
The final Institute of Ethics Brown Bag for this academic year will take place on Thursday, April 22. All are invited to hear Dr. Melissa Stewart, assistant professor of philosophy/religion, give an overview of “Environmental Ethics.”
All sessions include a presentation with substantial time for Q&A.
This event is free and open to public. All guests are encouraged to bring a brown bag lunch. Knight Auditorium is located in Valade Hall which is on the corner of S. Madison St. and Williams St. on the Adrian College campus. |
