Dr. Oded Gur-Arie to Give
Presentation on Entrepreneurship

Dr. Oded Gur-Arie, Professor and Director
of the Institute for Entrepreneurial Studies |
Adrian, Mich. - The Adrian
College business department will be hosting
a presentation to introduce students and staff
to its newest faculty member, Dr. Oded Gur-Arie.
The presentation will take place on Friday,
March 13, 2009 at 2 P.M. in the Bulldog Room,
located in the Merillat Sport and Fitness Center.
The event will be hosted by
several Adrian College business students and
is open to all students regardless of major.
Food and drink will be provided.
The presentation will introduce
entrepreneurship and how students with any major
can become successful entrepreneurs. Dr. Gur-Arie
will also discuss exactly what an entrepreneur
is and the characteristics one must possess
to be successful in business.
Dr. Oded Gur-Arie is Adrian
College’s newest addition. He comes to
the College as the new director of the institute
for entrepreneurial studies. He holds a bachelor’s
and master’s degree in science as well
as a Ph.D, all in which he earned from The University
of Alabama. He has had more than 20 years of
experience in academia and business.
He was formerly on the
faculty of University of Michigan Business School
and has brought his experience to share at Adrian.
Dr. Gur-Arie has had his work published in multiple
leading academic journals. His work has led
him all over the world and his experience is
sure to benefit many students here at Adrian
College.
