Receives National Award

selected to attend the Nancy Walton Laurie Leadership
Institute
ADRIAN, Mich. – Adrian
College is pleased to announce that Ashley Bugeja,
a senior majoring in psychology and Spanish,
was chosen for a national award through Chi
Omega, the second largest women's organization
in the United States.
The organization has a very
prestigious institute called the Nancy Walton
Laurie Leadership Institute. This highly competitive
institute chooses 20 women each year from its
alumnae and active chapters to take part in
an elite leadership institute. Bugeja was selected
as one of the 20 women attending this year.
At the institute, the chosen women are given
intensive training on personal growth and leadership
in their communities.
“I am so honored to
be the first woman of Adrian College to attend
this institute,” said Bugeja.
Bugeja will be attending the
Nancy Walton Laurie Leadership Institute on
for the weekend of March 27, 2009 in Memphis,
Tennessee at the Chi Omega National Headquarters.
All accommodations are provided by the Chi Omega
Foundation.
“It is such an honor to be chosen for
this,” said Bugeja. “Chi Omega is
an organization full of talented, incredible
women, and I am so glad that I am a part of
it.”
Ashley Bugeja will graduate
in December and plans to further her education
in industrial and organizational psychology.
She is originally from Saint Clair Shores, Mich.
and is a graduate of Conner Creek Academy East
in Roseville, Mich.
