Adrian College Social
Work Club hosts fundraiser for Hope Center
ADRIAN, Mich. –
The Adrian College Social Work Club will be
hosting a program called “The Many Roles
of Social Work in Practice: A Panel Presentation
by Social Work Professionals” on Tuesday,
Mar. 24 from 6:30 P.M. to 8 P.M. in Knight Auditorium.
In conjunction to this free event, the club
will also be raffling off baskets with all proceeds
going to the Hope Center located in Adrian.
Ticket sales for the raffle
baskets begin Monday, Mar. 9, 2009. The cost
of tickets is one ticket for $1; six tickets
for $5; and 15 tickets for $10. Students, faculty
and staff can purchase their raffle tickets
in Ritchie Dining Hall and Caine on March 10,
12, 16, 18, and 20 and on March 14 in the mall
from 1-3 P.M. Tickets can also be purchased
from any Social Work Club member.
There are currently over $1,000
in raffle prizes from Adrian businesses, including:
Shell, Amedai, Taco Bell, Sounds of Light, AutoZone,
West End Car Wash, Hoagie Man, Sunnyside, in
addition to many others. Adrian College has
also donated gift certificates to Jazzman's,
110 Madison Ave, and the Arrington Bookstore.
Tickets for the raffle baskets
will be drawn at the event on March 24. There
are approximately five to 10 baskets, each having
a different theme. Examples include an Adrian
College basket, “A Day at the Spa”
basket, “A Night on the Town” basket
etc. Due to the many donations the club has
received, once a winner has been drawn for each
raffle basket, the remainder of tickets will
be combined for a chance at the remaining prizes.
