1929 Time Capsule Found posted 3/17/09

Adrian College is excited to announce that a time capsule which was placed in the corner stone of Caine Student Center, formerly Ridge Gymnasium, in 1929, was resurrected today after 80 years.

The capsule, which is a copper box, was placed when Ridge was being built before the depression hit in the early 1930’s. It is said to contain athletic records, a copy of The Daily Telegram and other documents from the time period.

The College will be opening the capsule sometime next week and will have the contents on display in time for Founders Day and The State of the College.

This marks a historical moment for Adrian College as we celebrate our Sesquicentennial.
