Congressman Walberg introduces
resolution.
WASHINGTON D.C. - U.S. Congressman
Tim Walberg (R-MI) today introduced a resolution
honoring the 2007-2008 Adrian College men's
hockey team. Walberg introduced the resolution
with Congressman Mike Rogers (R-MI), an Adrian
graduate.
"It is my honor to introduce,
along with Congressman Rogers, an Adrian alumnus,
this resolution honoring the outstanding Adrian
College men's hockey team. In their first season,
the Bulldogs won the Midwest Collegiate Hockey
Association regular season title and postseason
tournament and finished with the best first
year win-loss record in Division III history.
The team earned nationwide recognition and delighted
hockey fans across south-central Michigan. Due
to some misguided political hockey, Adrian was
not chosen for the NCAA Division III tournament.
Regardless of this oversight, the Bulldogs deserve
to be honored for their unbelievable success,
great sportsmanship and outstanding job of representing
the Adrian community. Congratulations to Adrian
College, head coach Ron Fogarty and the Adrian
Bulldogs men's hockey team."
