Adrian College chapter
of Theta Chi to raise funds for Hope Community
Center
ADRIAN, Mich. – The
Zeta Beta chapter of Theta Chi at Adrian College
will host its first annual Walk For Hope event
on Saturday, March 28 from 9 A.M. to 9 P.M.
All proceeds will benefit the Hope Community
Center, an organization which aids adults with
disabilities to live a richer and fuller life.
Walk For Hope will be an event
where participants will be sponsored for a 12-hour
period of walking. It will take place at the
Adrian College track and field facility. Teams
will consist of 10 members each and will be
asked to pay a $300 entry fee; additional participants
will cost $10. The registration deadline is
Friday, March 20, 2009.
The Hope Community Center
has been giving adults with disabilities a place
to socialize and enjoy themselves throughout
Lenawee County since 1976. Today, there are
approximately 400 members and more than 120
programs available monthly. The Zeta Beta chapter
of Theta Chi has been working closely with the
center over the past several years to help them
fulfill their mission statement. Walk For Hope
will be the first philanthropic event Theta
Chi has sponsored to benefit the Hope Center.
