Music Student Set to Audition at Detroit Opera House posted 2/11/09

ADRIAN, Mich. - Freshman music major Ashley Greer has been granted a highly difficult to obtain private audition on the stage of the Detroit Opera House for an upcoming professional production of "A Little Night Music" (Sondheim) slated for fall 2009.

“This is an Adrian College Student who is truly taking flight and doing us proud,” says Beth Major, assistant professor of music at the College.

Major recommended Greer for a particular role in which she is currently learning in Major’s opera workshop class. Greer sang for the Artistic Director of the Michigan Opera Theatre this past week, after performing in Adrian's Broadway Review and auditioning as well for “Sesame Street Live” in Detroit on Friday.
