Adrian College Presents Shocking New Play posted 2/7/08
Theatre department performs ‘The Shape of Things’

ADRIAN, Mich. - The Adrian College theatre department proudly presents the most unusual and shocking play ‘The Shape of Things’, which opens Thursday, Feb. 14, 2008 at 8 P.M. in Downs Hall Theatre.

‘The Shape of Things’ focuses on relationships among students on a college campus in a small Midwestern city. Writer Neil LaBute explores love’s most intriguing questions.

During this controversial drama of trampled boundaries, a young student drifts into an ever-changing relationship with an art major while his best friend's engagement crumbles.

LaBute has been hailed by The New Yorker as “an original voice…the best new playwright to emerge in the past decade."

Performances are scheduled for Thursday and Friday, Feb. 14 & 15 at 8 P.M. and on Saturday, Feb. 16 at 2 P.M. and 8 P.M. Tickets are $7 for the general public and $5 for students, seniors and Adrian College staff.

Downs Hall Theatre is located on the Adrian College campus on S. Madison Ave. More information can be obtained by calling 517-264-3922.
