Adrian College Presents
Annual Dance Marathon
Participants now taking
donations; looking for volunteers posted
2/12/08
ADRIAN, Mich. – Adrian
College announces its annual dance marathon
which will take place Mar. 29-30, 2008 at the
Merillat Sports and Fitness Center. Participants
are now seeking donations and volunteers.
The event, which includes
Adrian College students dancing for 18 straight
hours without breaks, is to raise money for
the Hope Community Center in Adrian. Participants
are asking community members for their help.
Interested persons can donate their time by
actively participating in the 18 hour event
by becoming a dancer while raising money.
Participants are also looking
for ‘moralers’- those community
members who can help raise money and also help
keep the morale up of the dancers by donating
four hours of their time. They are also seeking
out volunteers who help not only by raising
money but also with setting up or cleaning after
the event.
Any interested parties who
cannot make the event but still want to help
can make a donation. The Hope Community Center
is a non-profit organization devoted to offering
educational and recreational activities for
local adults with physical, mental, or emotional
impairments. All donations are greatly appreciated.
Checks can be made payable
to ‘Adrian College Dance Marathon’
and sent to Adrian College Dance Marathon, 1325
William St., Caine Student Center, Adrian, MI
49221.
