Adrian College Receives Gift from Enterprise

Donation will help kick-off fundraising for new aquatic center

ADRIAN, Mich. - A gift to the Adrian College Renaissance I Campaign from Enterprise Rent-A-Car of Greater Michigan on January 8 will be used to kick-off fundraising for the Adrian College Aquatic Center.

The Aquatic Center, a state-of-the-art natatorium designed for both campus and community use, will feature a 25-meter, eight-lane competition pool as well as a floating electronic bulkhead, diving tank, one and three-meter diving boards and a water polo pool. Like each of the Renaissance projects, the purpose of the Aquatic Center is to help increase and stabilize enrollment at Adrian College and to provide important resources to the community at large. The donation from Enterprise Rent-A-Car launches the College into the final phase of fundraising for Renaissance I.

Branch Rental Manager Emily (Penrose) Young and Corporate Account Manager Sarah Yager represented Enterprise-Rent-A-Car in presenting the gift to Henry R. Mensing and Diane A. Henningfeld of the Adrian College Development Office. Young, a 1994 AC alum, commented that the Renaissance projects have positively impacted the local community. She further stated that community involvement was the key for Adrian College receiving this award.
