Adrian College Presents Winter Band Concert posted 12/2/09

ADRIAN, Mich. - The public is invited to two free concerts featuring the Adrian College Concert Bands and Jazz Ensembles this Saturday, December 5, in Dawson Auditorium. Admission and parking are free. 

The concert bands will perform at 11:00 am. This semester, an additional band has been formed to accommodate the growth of the Adrian College Music Department. Selections include a medley of French Canadian carols, “Gesu Bambino”, “Let There Be Peace On Earth”, “Army of the Nile”, and “Russian Christmas Music.”

The jazz ensembles will perform at 5:00 pm. The Tecumseh Center of the Arts Community Big Band will also perform, totaling three jazz ensemble performances. Programming will include a wide variety of big band music, ranging from traditional to modern.Many solo performers will also be featured.
