| Adrian College Students Win Voice Competition posted 11/9/10

ADRIAN, Mich. – Adrian College is excited to announce that eight students, majoring in music, travelled to Grand Valley State University on Saturday, Nov. 6 to compete in the 2010 National Association of Teachers of Singing Michigan Voice Competition and two students walked away winners.
Sophomore Melissa Perry and freshman Kelly Fisher finished first and third respectively in their category.
“Competition was stiff in this day-long event,” said Beth Major, assistant professor of music who travelled with the group along with three other faculty members. “This was a proud day and a testament of excellence for Adrian College!”
The students competed against peers from Western Michigan University, Eastern Michigan University, Central Michigan University, Oakland University, Hope College, Grand Valley State University and more. |
