Lenawee Community Chorus performs

Adrian, Mich. - On Sunday, Nov. 22 at 4 P.M., the Lenawee Community Chorus will perform a collection of American Folk songs and lead the audience in singing some favorite folk songs at Adrian College’s Herick Chapel.

Familiar folksongs include Shenandoah, Aura Lee, Ol’ Dan Tucker, Gentle Annie, Red River Valley and many more. The chorus will be joined by guest artist Pennye Scheiber playing the traditional hammered dulcimer. 

The concert is presented in association with the Adrian College Art Department and their visiting artist, Shelby Lee Adams, photographer.  The community is invited to enjoy his collection of photographs featuring Appalachian folk musicians exhibited in Adrian College’s Stubnitz Art Gallery. 

Admission for the folksong concert is $5 at the door. College students and all children 17 and under are free.
