Dance Marathon to Host Fundraiser for Catherine Cobb posted 11/20/08
Adrian College collecting supplies for the holidays

ADRIAN, Mich. – Adrian College’s Dance Marathon will be collecting supplies for the Catherine Cobb Domestic Violence Program Dec 1-4, 2008. Items collected will be delivered Friday Dec. 5, 2008. The Catherine Cobb Domestic Violence Program serves as a safe haven for women and their children involved in an abusive environment.

With an average of 35-40 people being helped every day, the supplies are limited. The program is currently asking for the following items: shampoo and conditioner; women’s deodorant; hairbrushes (not combs); razors; soap; toothbrushes and toothpaste; and feminine products.

All supplies can be delivered to the Caine Student Center, located on the Adrian College Campus at 110 Williams Street. Supplies should be boxed and can be dropped off by the safety office or delivered to Amanda Burke, director of housing and Dance Marathon advisor. Burke’s office is located on the upper level in the student center near the bookstore.

On Tuesday Dec. 2, 2008 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., items can be dropped off on the main floor of the Caine Student Center during the Adrian College Christmas Party. Please note this party is a school-sponsored event and is not open to the public.
