Student Art Exhibit in
Heritage Room posted 11/25/08
Large-scale photographs
by junior Jillian Brown on display now
ADRIAN, Mich. – The
Adrian College art department presents an exhibit
of large-scale photographs by Jillian Brown
now through December 19 in the Heritage Room.
Using Adobe Photoshop, Brown
“stitches” multiple images together
to create an image 14 inches tall by up to five
feet wide. Her work places a wide variety of
contemporary people within a panoramic setting.
Because people within the images appear multiple
times, they seem to tell a story.
Brown is a student in the
department of art and design at the College
and is working toward a Bachelor of Fine Arts
degree with an emphasis in photography. She
was awarded this exhibition in the college’s
annual Student Juried Art Exhibition last October.
Brown is a junior from Lawton, Mich. and is
a graduate of Lawton High School.
The Heritage Room is located
in Shipman Library and is open during library
hours: Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. –
11 p.m.; Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.; Saturday,
10 a.m. – 5 p.m.; and Sunday, noon –
11 p.m.
