Adrian College Presents Winter Band Concert

ADRIAN, Mich. - The Adrian College Concert Band and Jazz Ensemble will present their Winter Band Concert on Saturday, Dec. 1, at 3:00 P.M. in Dawson Auditorium.

The Jazz Ensemble will perform a selection of music which includes "How High the Moon" and "Trinita." They will also perform "They Can't Take That Away from Me" which features vocalist Ruth Nichols, a freshman from Blissfield. The Jazz Ensemble will then conclude their performance with "A Warm Breeze," Sammy Nestico's signature composition for the Count Basie Orchestra.

The Concert Band will play the classic march "Washington Grays". Their performance also includes holiday favorites, including an arrangement of "Midnight Sleighride," a Prokofiev composition reworked by the Sauter-Finegan Big Band. The band will also perform the Irish lullaby "Deir'in De," and a new Hanukah piece entitled "The Eighth Candle."

This concert is free and open to the public.
