This musical group describes itself
as five guys who play on recycled percussion. The music
is junk rock, which is a blend of industrial rock, with
funk-punk beat box driven power percussion backed by
a DJ. Members of Recycled Percussion make their instruments
from items other people throw out: barrels, basement
garbage, building site leftovers, pots, pans, stepladders,
fifty-gallon drums and even the occasional recycled
chainsaw. Then the guys proceed to create heart-pounding
beats in an interactive show that is great for all ages.
In the four years Recycled Percussion
has been together, the group has played with performers
such as LL Cool J and entertained crowds during halftime
shows of many NBA and NFL games. They have also been
featured on television programs such as The Late Night
Show and Talk Soup.
