Theta Alpha Phi Presents Annual Student-Written One-Act Plays posted 10/13/09
Selections by Alisha-Michele Brink and Kyle Bucholz to be performed Oct. 22-24.

ADRIAN, Mich. - The Theta Alpha Phi dramatic honorary society at Adrian College announces its annual presentation of student-written, one-act plays Thursday - Saturday, Oct. 22-24 in Downs Hall Theatre. This year’s selections are “Good Friends and Cold Beer” by Alisha-Michele Brink and “The Waiting Room” by Kyle Bucholz.

In “Good Friends and Cold Beer” five college friends reunite after five years of being out of touch, though for a regrettable reason: a funeral. With their good friend Paul dead, Andy, Tanya, Cameron, Eric, and Lexi all come together after years apart. But time changes people, so they find, and now they must learn how much they have all transformed since meeting ten years before...and how to live on with one of them gone for good.

“The Waiting Room” takes place in the waiting room of God's office where the audience will find out how people got there and along the way they will learn about life lessons and the outcome of the afterlife for some of us. All of this happens while they are waiting to see the almighty one.

Downs Hall Theatre is located in Downs Hall on Madison St. on the Adrian College campus. Curtain time is 8:00 P.M. each evening. General Admission is $5 and Adrian College students with a valid student I.D. are admitted free of charge. More information may be obtained by calling 517-264-3922.
