H1N1 Vaccines Coming Soon

Vaccines available
to Adrian College campus community
ADRIAN, Mich.
– Adrian College will be hosting a H1N1
flu vaccination clinic on Oct. 19 from 10 A.M.
– 2 P.M. in the Merillat Sports and Fitness
Center Performance Gym. It is free to the students
and any public or faculty that may fall within
the target ranges.
The target groups that are
eligible for the vaccine are as follows: pregnant
women, children age 6 mo-24 years, household
contacts of infants who are six months or younger,
health care workers and EMS, non-elderly adults
(age 25-64) with medical conditions such as
asthma, diabetes, heart disease, etc. (but not
high blood pressure). For questions, please

The season flu vaccine will
also be available in the Health
Center starting Oct. 12 during health center
hours. Cost is $25 and is available to all students
and faculty.
All
Adrian College faculty, students and staff are
encouraged to always be vigilant about their
health:
- Wash your hands
frequently with soap and warm water.
- Cover your nose and
mouth with a tissue when you cough or sneeze
(then throw out the tissue).
- Common symptoms include
fever, cough, sore throat, body aches, headache,
chills and fatigue. If you have a fever along
with other symptoms, please call your medical
provider to determine whether you should be
tested for flu.
If you do have the flu,
please stay home to avoid infecting others.
