Equestrian Team Faced Tough Compeition at First Show posted 10/9/09

ADRIAN, Mich. - On Sunday, Oct. 4, the Adrian College Equestrian Team competed in their first show of the season at Grand Valley State University. All eight team members competed in their respective division.

The group faced tough competition from teams such as Albion College, Michigan State University and even the University of Western Ontario. Though each member rode their hardest, Adrian placed in the bottom three. 

“The show went well, it could have gone better,” sophomore Ally Lowe said. “We were unfortunate in some of the draws for horses, but we hope to do better at the next show.”

First time competitors Laura Thompson and Jesse Young placed second in their classes, receiving the highest places for the team. 

The next equestrian event takes place at Western Michigan University on Oct. 10-11.
