ADRIAN, Mich. - Adrian College is proud to announce its newest military initiative on campus, the Army ROTC program.  The College and The University of Toledo, Adrian’s host site, have agreed to share resources to offer the program to students. 

Similar programs exist at Ohio Northern University and Lourdes College locally. There are 1149 affiliated programs working with over 250 host sites like The University of Toledo nationwide. 

Instruction and services will be provided by The University of Toledo Army ROTC. Adrian College students can major in any area of interest in the College’s curriculum. Army ROTC requires the completion of 25 hours of military science credits at Adrian College as electives with grades calculated into GPA’s. (Accelerated program options are available for students with advanced academic standing.)

There are currently three students enrolled in the ROTC program at Adrian College including freshman Raymond Platts.

“I joined ROTC to serve my country and get a college education,” said Platts. “These are two goals in my life and I get to achieve them simultaneously.”

Students who are interested in the Army ROTC program should meet with the College’s Registrar prior to meeting with their academic advisor on campus. After meeting with the Registrar, students should meet with their advisor and register for classes. The Registrar’s Office will coordinate with the Army ROTC Liaison for the times of courses and requirements.
