ADRIAN, Mich. - The Adrian
College Theatre Department invites you to see
the ‘Greatest Show on Earth’ as
“Barnum” takes the center ring during
their fall performance, Thursday thru Saturday,
Oct. 23-25. “Barnum” is a musical
comedy celebrating the life of P. T. Barnum,
America’s greatest showman.
This musical portrayal leaps
through his life in colorful song and dance.
As Barnum defends the “noble art of humbug”,
we meet the oldest woman, the smallest man in
the world, a glamorous Swedish Nightingale,
as well as a cavalcade of clowns. His loyal
wife, Charity, may try to tame him, but nothing
can stop the irresistible spirit of Barnum!
The College’s rendition
is based on the music by Cy Coleman, lyrics
by Michael Stewart, and the book by Mark Bramble.
“Barnum” will
play in Dawson Auditorium with all three performances
at 8:00 P.M. Ticket prices are $10.00 for the
general public and $7.00 for students, seniors
and Adrian College staff.
Dawson Auditorium is located
on Charles Street on the Adrian College campus.
