22 students inducted into the Alpha Chi National Honor Society

ADRIAN, Mich. – Adrian College is proud to announce that 22 students were inducted in to the Michigan Alpha Chapter of Alpha Chi National Honor Society. Alpha Chi is an international honor society recognizing academic achievement,

Inductees were recognized during the annual Induction Ceremony held on Friday, October 24. Those inducted are qualified juniors and seniors who have achieved academic excellence at the College.

“It is a privilege to honor our very brightest students and their achievements,” said Dr. Robin Bott, sponsor of the College’s chapter.

This year's first-time inductees are listed below.

Brett Asher, a senior from Northville, Mich. and a graduate of Northville High School.

Ryan Cornelius, a senior from Lansing, Mich. and a graduate of Waverly High School.

Whitney Decaminada, a junior from Wyandotte Mich. and a graduate of Theodore Roosevelt High School.

Mark Eberline, a senior from Novi, Mich. and a graduate of Novi High School.

Joshua Emington, a junior from Reed City, Mich. and a graduate of Reed City High School.

Sarah Evans, a junior from Tontogany, Ohio and a graduate of Otsego High School.

Amanda Fassett, a junior from Mendon, Mich. and a graduate of Mendon High School.

Anne Goetz, a junior from De Tour Village, Mich. and a graduate of De Tour High School.

Gabe Holdwick, a junior from Harbor Beach, Mich. and a graduate of Harbor Beach High School.

Justine Sylvester, a junior from Bay City, Mich. and a graduate of John Glenn High School.

Whitney VanCamp, a junior from Hillsdale, Mich. and a graduate of Adams-Jerome High School.

Ryann Waterstradt, a junior from Swanton, Ohio and a graduate of Swanton High School.

William Zollars, a junior from Madison Heights, Mich. and a graduate of Lamphere High School.

Seniors Katie Brinager and Karly Herron, who are returning members of Alpha Chi, also participated in the induction ceremony by renewing their vows.

According to the official Alpha Chi National College Honor Society Web site, Alpha Chi is a general honor society that admits students from all academic disciplines. Membership is limited to the top 10 percent of an institution's juniors, seniors, and graduate students. Alpha Chi has approximately 300 chapters, located in almost every state and in Puerto Rico, and they induct more than 11,000 members annually.
