ADRIAN, Mich. - Adrian College

most outstanding alumni athletes. This year's
inductees are listed below.
Harold Craft, Class

Harold
Craft was a member of the varsity men's tennis

against ranked Kalamazoo College, and helped
the Bulldogs finish second in the league.
He was also a member of the track team, co-coached
the JV basketball team, and was very involved
with the Alpha Tau Omega championship intramural
basketball team.
While at Adrian, Hal was
senior class president. He has stayed active
with the ATO fraternity, including as alumni
president and president of the board of directors.

the Year, and received the Boys' Club Award
for volunteering to work with children and
street gangs in Pontiac, Mich. Hal received
the Adrian College Distinguished Alumni Award
in 1990, and is currently a College trustee.
He is involved with a variety of volunteer
and community service activities, and has
mentored numerous students.

and golf.
Stephen
O'Neill, Class of 1993
The
main reason that Steve O'Neill transferred
to Adrian College from Hillsdale was to try
to reach his potential as a runner. After
seeing how his brother excelled under Coach
Forest "Rock" Haines, Steve decided
to give the Adrian cross country and track
coach a try. Soon he experienced what he called
"Rock-tailored workouts," including
being dropped off miles away in the town of
Hudson and told to run home to Adrian.
Whether or not it was the
unconventional workouts, Steve did reach his
potential. He set Adrian College records in
the 3,000m, the 3,000m steeplechase, the 5,000m
and the 10,000m. His records in the 5,000m
and 10,000m run still stand today. Steve was
a three-year letter winner in both sports,
was the co-recipient of the Outstanding Senior
Athlete award, and was All MIAA in track and
cross country.
Steve
is a Sergeant at the Adrian Post of the Michigan
State Police. He lives in Owosso with is wife,
Teresa, and their two children: Ryan, age
5, and Grace, age 3.
