Why Choose Adrian College for Pre-Health Studies?

Academically, Adrian College offers…

  1. A cross-disciplinary approach to health studies and the health sciences, encompassing biology, chemistry, physics, exercise science and related disciplines, psychology and social work, biomedical ethics, business and other fields affecting delivery of health care.

  1. The Adrian College Institute for Health Studies (AC/IHS) which draws on alumni and advisors from clinical professionals and other leaders in the health care industry.
  2. A full time AC/IHS director providing comprehensive pre-professional advising.
  3. Affiliation with National Association of Advisors in Health Professions and collaboration with advisors at colleges and professional schools across the country.
  4. Early intervention in student academic and professional planning through faculty advising and the Institute’s programs.
  5. Opportunities for experiential learning, site visits, job shadowing and community service.
  6. Close collaboration with the Adrian College Office of Career Services to assure smooth internship placement.
  7. Periodic on-campus speakers from a variety of health professions.
