of the entrepreneur in both start-up companies
and more mature organizations. You will learn
practical and effective techniques and strategies
for: productive networking, writing a prospectus/initial

of sources, developing new products, sourcing
globally, and protecting intellectual property.

a mini-business plan, including a pro forma

The Entrepreneurial
Experience
Taught by Professor
Gur-Arie
In sharp contrast to traditional knowledge-based
courses, the Entrepreneurial Experience course
will focus on how future entrepreneurs must
embrace creativity and manage risk taking in
order to turn ideas and dreams into successful
business ventures. In this course, we will strive
to develop “entrepreneurial competencies”
by focusing on the various aspects, developmental
and operational, of the Entrepreneurial experience.
To best simulate that experience, focus will
be on team work and team projects. We will also
use cases, simulations and will enjoy visits
from several guest entrepreneurs. (Prerequisites:
junior or senior standing, Professor’s
permission)
