The Music Department awards scholarships to incoming freshmen who have participated in high school band, choir, orchestra, or have received private training in music. The initial awards are valued at $8000 over four years of study. Recipients are not required to major in music.

Students may audition on-campus or submit a tape between September and March 1. Students should be prepared with one work which best demonstrates their musical ability. Singers should perform a song with piano accompaniment. Tapes should be audio only, not video, and will not be returned.
