ACCET - Adrian College Center for Effective Teaching
A.C.C.E.T. Supporting Personal Growth and Professional Excellence

The primary aim of A.C.C.E.T. – Adrian College for Effective Teaching – is to assist faculty in their continuous efforts to become better teachers. To support this goal, the center offers faculty the following services and support:

  • Coordinates all-campus workshops on pedagogical topics, including the annual Fall Kickoff Workshop at the beginning of each academic year
  • Provides one-on-one consultation to faculty on specific issues or areas of need
  • Maintains a website with resources related to teaching and learning
  • Coordinates the Brown Bag Scholarship Lecture series
  • Coordinates the New Faculty Mentor program
  • Collaborates with the Director of Writing Across the Curriculum in offering WAC training for faculty
  • Publishes the newsletter A.C.C.E.T. Accent each semester
