Adrian College is a private, co-educational liberal arts college of about 1600 students. Related to The United Methodist Church, it is a traditional four-year, residential college that focuses completely on undergraduate education. It is located in Adrian, Michigan. (pop. 22,000), about 45 minutes from Ann Arbor and Toledo, Ohio, and 90 minutes from Detroit.

Teacher Education
Adrian College seeks a tenure-track faculty member in the Department of Teacher Education with a health certification and at least one of the following subject areas: Teaching and Learning Processes (Elementary), Early childhood methods, Elementary Language Arts, Exceptional Students. 

Required qualifications:

• Earned doctorate in Education
• Experience in and evidence of effective teaching in the public schools
• Undergraduate and/or graduate college teaching experience preferred

Desired qualifications:

• Familiarity with TEAC accreditation

This position will be available August 2010. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
