Information
The Adrian College
Advantage
Adrian College students are
well-prepared to enter the workforce upon graduation.
Our graduates gain real-world experience through
Adrians emphasis on teamwork and project-based
learning. Our students develop their communications
skills through close contact with professors
in small classes and with individualized instruction.
Many students complete double majors, or minor
in a field outside their major. Over 60% of
our students complete one or more internships
during their college career, while others study
abroad to increase their exposure to international
issues. Because Adrian is a relatively small
college, students have a greater opportunity
to hold leadership positions throughout their
education. A majority of Adrian students have
competed in intercollegiate athletics, and a
growing number are involved in community service
and volunteer programs throughout the area.
We invite you to take advantage
of our success by recruiting our students for
career or internship positions within your organization.

Full-time
Job Listings
Our on-line full time job listings are
continually updated. These jobs requiring a
minimum of a Bachelor's degree are sent to us
by employers. To include your job opening, call
(517) 265-5161 x4392, mail, email
or fax your listing to (517) 264-3266.
E- Referral Service
If you would like us to notify pre-qualified
candidates of a job opening, simply notify us
and tell us the specific qualifications youre
seeking. We can search by major, GPA, job target,
graduation date, geographic interest or computer/foreign
language skills. EEOC regulations require that
we not search by gender or race.
On-Campus
Interviewing
You are invited to set up a schedule to interview
students and/or alumni in our office. You may
prescreen candidates if you like. We will publicize
your campus visit to appropriate students and
academic departments. Four weeks advance notice
is recommended in order to publicize your visit
properly. If youd like, we will also schedule
lunch with an appropriate faculty member to
coincide with your visit. To receive more information
regarding campus visits, please contact our
office for a Recruiting Guide.
Career
Fairs
Through several consortium memberships with
other area colleges and universities, we co-sponsor
4 Career Fairs each year, including a Teacher
Career Fair. Michigan Collegiate Job Fair is
held each fall and spring semester, and Job
Pursuit is held in Lansing in the spring. Our
office also participates in a Chicago fair held
each January. Fair participation normally requires
a fee for employers. If you would like to receive
a fair invitation, please call (517) 265-5161,
ext. 4392.
Part-Time/Seasonal/No-degree
required positions
We offer a job board in our office that lists
part-time and full-time non-degreed positions,
including summer and seasonal positions. These
boards are highly popular with our students.
This is an excellent, cost-effective (free)
way to meet your employment needs. Call (517)
265-5161, ext. 4392 to have your position posted.
Internships
Our office manages the Adrian College Internship
Program, a structured internship experience.
We will publicize your internship opportunity
within our office as well as to appropriate
academic departments. Students at Adrian are
eligible to gain credit for both exploratory
and professional internships, and can complete
for-credit internships as early as their freshman
year. Our normal procedure involves approving
your internship program or site for academic
credit eligibility before the student completes
the internship. If you would like to have your
site pre-approved (and thereby advertised to
students as such!), please contact us to request
an Internship Guide. |
