Naming Opportunities
[Back to Naming
Opportunities]
A few groups have chosen to offer
“naming opportunity” challenges to the
new Ridge Student Center. Naming for this purpose
simply means donors who give toward a certain goal are listed
by name in association with that room/area, usually on a plaque.
If you were a member of one or more of the groups who initiated
a challenge, you may designate or divide your gift from the
opportunities listed. If none of these apply to you, remember
that all alumni donors will be counted toward
the ARRINGTON FAMILY CHALLENGE (Brothers Robyn J. Arrington '66 and Harold M. Arrington
'68 have doubled their challenge to $1 million for the Ridge Student Center Project if Adrian College alumni pledge $1 million by June
30, 2004.)
All former ATHLETES, CHEERLEADERS
& COACHES are invited to
name “Center Court.” Goal: $500,000. “Ridge
was our home away from home…let’s preserve its
athletic heritage by leaving our mark and helping create a
place for new Ridge memories…you can still hear the
distant cheers…”
All current and former ALUMNI BOARD
members are invited to name
a “Skybox.” Goal: $50,000. “We can touch
the lives of future AC students with the transformation of
Ridge into a new student center. This is an important and
exciting way to give back to our alma mater and the Adrian
community.”
ATO ALUMNI are
invited to name a “Skybox.” Goal: $50,000. “The
ATO's supported the Shipman Library project and we hope to
leave our mark in this great new student center for future
students. Let’s show our support for Adrian and the
importance of fraternities and sororities on a small college
campus.”
All former STUDENT GOVERNMENT members
are invited to name the “Student
Government Office.” Goal: $25,000. “We often struggled
in our advocacy for change on campus…but when a change
was implemented, we knew we had done well and positively impacted
student life. Here’s another chance to do so.”
ART ALUMNI & FRIENDS OF THE ARTS*
are invited to name the “Art
Studio.” Goal: $50,000. “Visual artists add to
the intellectual conversation on campus by displaying their
work and their creative process. By including an art presence
at the center of student activity, students are offered a
chance to observe and enjoy the results.”
*anyone who supports the arts
SAE ALUMNI are
invited to name a “Skybox.” Goal: $50,000. “SAE’s
have a long history on Adrian’s campus and many have
shared in the experience of the old gym. Here’s an opportunity
to provide very visual and prominent exposure of our allegiance
with Adrian for generations to come.”
