| Julayne
Morningstar Hughes, ’86, still doesn’t
know what she wants to do when she grows up. Since graduating
from Adrian with a degree in math education and a minor
in music, she has been an EDS flunky, a computer consultant,
a Kelly girl, an insurance and securities agent, and
a church secretary. She finally finished her degree
in music at Rochester College in 2003 and completed
her Master of Music at Oakland University in 2006. Unlike
the abandoned math degree, she actually uses the music
degree in her various piano accompanying jobs (including
playing for the A Cappella Chorus at Rochester College).
As if that weren’t enough, Julayne is also a freelance
editor, and is currently working with a self-publishing
company to help would-be authors fulfill their dreams
of publication. She volunteers in many organizations
and loves music, reading, and traveling. She lives with
her husband, Keith, and her daughter, Laura, in Rochester
Hills, Michigan.
