Alumni Service Award 2003
Steve Gregg '68
After graduating with a bachelor of
science degree from Adrian College, Steve
Gregg continued his education at The University
of Michigan and received a doctor of dental surgery
degree in 1972. He became a partner at the Hodges, Ray
and Gregg dental practice (now Milan Medical Associates)
in Milan, and has been practicing there ever since.
Shortly after joining the practice, Dr. Gregg returned
to The University of Michigan to teach in the dental
school and received a master's degree in Oral Diagnosis
and Radiology in 1980.
Dr. Gregg is currently a member of
the Rotary Club, the Washtenaw District Dental Society,
the Michigan Dental Association and the American Dental
Association. As a student at Adrian, he was an active
member in the Theta Chi Fraternity, Beta Beta Beta Biology
Club, Organ Club and served the College as athletic
trainer.
As an alumnus, Dr. Gregg has served
Adrian for more than a decade through his volunteerism
as an alumni board member, as an active participant
in the campaign for Shipman Library and most recently
with the Ridge Student Center project. He was elected
to the Alumni Association Board of Directors as an alternate
in 1993 and served as president his third term from
1999-2001. Following a one-year hiatus, he returned
to the board once again as he was unanimously elected
to another term this spring. Steve is a very enthusiastic
and dedicated board member who is genuinely concerned
about students, alumni and the connection between the
two.
Steve enjoys collecting antiques,
gardening, woodworking and motorcycling. He is married
to Mary Quay Gregg '69 and they have twins, John and
Laura.
