| Marsha
started with Adrian College in the summer of 1989. Since
then she has worked primarily with development and alumni
relations. In 2005, she was asked to serve as interim
director for the transition period when the College
presidency was changing. In 2006, President Docking
asked her to continue, less the “interim”
title, which she gladly accepted, “This is such
an exciting time at Adrian, I want to help alumni reconnect
with their alma mater. It’s not just about the
College offering events and services. It’s a reciprocal
relationship where alumni become active participants
in the future of the college and its students. Alumni
are fundamental to the success of this institution.”
Marsha began her bachelor’s
degree at Michigan State University but finished as
a non-traditional student at Adrian College in 2000.
She and her husband, George, live near Grass Lake in
Jackson County, have three grown children and one grandson.
